Deus II Remote Control Tether

Time for a quick, non-technical question: I can see where the tether that comes with the D2 is intended to be attached to the remote, but where is it supposed to attach to the shaft?

Wrap the string around the upper shaft just under the remote. I tied a loop of string around the shaft end and the tether string around and through the loop of string.

So, there is no "official" way to attach it? I'm having a tough enough time simply trying to thread that line through the holes in the remote!

Use a pin to pull the string edge through. I agree it’s tricky to do.

Some people are drilling holes some people use tie wraps some people just fix it like this

I did around the shaft end. I can’t do the other way cause I remove the coil/ stem and shorten the telescoping shaft to put into its backpack.

Aha! Perfect. Thanks. I know that it is just a small thing, but you'd think they would have at least told you in the manual what it was and where to attach it.
