XP ICON – How Does It Compare to DEUS II for Everyday Detecting?
I've been looking more closely at the XP ICON lately, especially as a lighter and simpler alternative within the XP ecosystem.
It uses FMF multi-frequency technology, is fully wireless, and is compatible with several existing XP accessories and coils.
What interests me most is where experienced XP users see the ICON fitting compared with the DEUS II.
For normal detecting in parks, fields and beaches, do you think the simpler controls of the ICON are actually an advantage, or would you still choose the DEUS II for the extra adjustment options?
For anyone who has used both, what differences have you noticed in real field conditions?
