Hey guys,
Got out last weekend to work the new permissions- the first site yield an artillery CORPS button last week so I was optimistic that the DEUS might weasel out another from the heavy iron. As many have said, listen for the elusive whisper...that squeak between the iron that 9 times out of 10 is a small nail...but every now and then is something killer. The first 2 whispers were deep targets, both 8-10 inches and no VDI number. They were also my best digs of the weekend- 1808-1821 Light Artillery and a domed 1 piece 1821 Artillery Eagle (first of this era that I've dug).

I've become addicted to these early military buttons and with the Light Artillery, I am a bit closer to my goal of digging a War of 1812 era button from each respective military component. The third dig was a bit easier to pick out, but quite small compared to the other jaw harps I've seen here.

Also managed a few buckles, flat buttons, and decorative brass...maybe furniture pieces?

On Sunday I switched it up a bit with Stef and hit a low tide coastal site that had produced in the past. While I didn't find much colonial period items, someone had clearly hosted an amazing party back in the 20s lol. The site was littered with turn of the century bottles and a few telling relics. Among the digs a Hudson Radiator cap, flappers purse, and 1914 patent straight razor cover.

The big surprise and oldest of the weekend's was a killer surface find...literally
intact megalodon tooth, and 2 smaller fossilized shark teeth.

As always thanks for looking!
