I sold an item over a month ago and was not sure what size it was, not marked anywhere. So the guy asked me what size and he said its cool if it is the wrong size I will send it back. I said fine. So he gets the item over a month and ago, waits three days then tells me it is the wrong size he wants to return it. I say sure fine just return it and you get a full refund. Well 32 days later he messages me, hey I was out of town but I am sending the item back to you. I respond don't bother because you are not getting a refund. My sales stipulate a 14 day return policy, you are way over it. He responds paypal says he has 45 days to get a refund. I tell him that is paypal not me.

I am 99% sure the guy wanted to rent my item for as long as he could. He hasn't responded back to me but my guess is if he beefs it with ebay I will probably lose. We'll see.

When you choose to accept returns when listing your item, Don't you select that is has to be returned within 14 days? IF so, you will be fine. If its been over a month, I wouldn't take the return either. But, I generally do not accept returns at all. I just describe my items real well, post good pictures.

If it's your stated policy (14 days) and he messaged you through Ebay then he can not returned. They will side with you. He won't be able to claim item not as described, because they can see the emails where he agreed to take it not knowing for sure the size.

Technically he has 30 days from the date of delivery to open a "Significantly Not As Described" case against you. Since it has been more than 30 days since the date of delivery then you are okay.

Got a message last night from the buyer, "never mind." I guess that is that.
