DFX FUN!!! Lots of pics UPDATED with wheats
First I have to say to those that think the learning curve of the DFX is too steep, maybe. I was one that thought that it might be too much for me. After reading the owner's manual, Jeff Foster's and Jimmy Sierra's books again and again, I am getting the hang of this awesome Whites machine.
Everything in the photos were found in three different places where I have permission from the owners to hunt. The hunting took place over 5 hours last weekend and yesterday. All three locations were hunted before with my Classic ID. Without question the reason for the extra finds is the depth capabilities of the DFX. Max depth on the ID is around 4 inches. You can easily double that with the factory loaded coin and coin and jewelry programs. Start to tweak the settings or add custom programs and you WILL go deeper. Ironically my oldest coin ever was found on top of the soil last week. Still no silvers which has me scratching my head. 9 wheaties were fished out of the dirt, a record for me. 8 of them are currently in a potato. Photos will be posted when clean. More Mems than zincolns!! FYI, the 35 and 55 wheats were found in pocket change last week.
Enough of the small talk, time for pics.
First one is my oldest coin yet.
UPDATE
Top coin is a 1917 wheat, middle row on left is a 1920, middle row center is 194?.
Thanks for looking,
Hal
