Found one for sale locally and have been entertaining getting a gold machine
as I may have an opportunity to do some nugget hunting with a friend later in the year.
Is this a good option for $240? Even with a trip to Tesoro for a check up it would be
a very economical starting point. Or am I better off getting something newer?

No it's a DiabloII. Same housing as the old Bandido and Pantera.

Planning to call Tesoro Monday and make sure they can still service them
I posted about it in the gold metal detector section but no replies so
I figured I'd see if anybody here had any experience with it.

They are the predecessor to the lobo IIRC. And very nice machines.
The diablo umax is a rare one. Saw one last year on the bay. Went for a crazy price. Has GB and hot Rick adjustment
