Ok, I doubt it goes back to the medieval period (I'm guessing 1600s at earliest, 1800s at latest) but it does have a Jerusalem cross on it above a shield of fleur de lis. The design and lettering are incused so I also assume it's a seal matrix of some kind[?} Thought this would be easy to identify but have had no luck finding any info on this particular design on the internet. Can anybody ID it for certain?
I did dig it up, but only out of a coin dealer junk box a couple years ago.
I believe it's brass but not lightweight. Hard to make out what it says but I think I see stuff like "INIT" and "COS"
