I have been detecting for a couple of years now, and just started hunting my first possible CW site. I found some melted lead earlier this week and found this today.
Can someone tell me if I have definitely found a CW bullet? I have seen other peoples posts where they have found them, but I mostly recall 3 ringers with a hollow base. This one has 2 rings and a solid base. I hope I haven't found a modern muzzleloader bullet. ???

I apologize for the pics, they are from my cell phone and aren't that clear close up.

Im no expert but, it appears so! CONGRATS! :icon_thumleft:

looks like on to me and your pics ar just fine :icon_thumleft: congrats

It measures about 7/16", so that would be about a .44 cal. Would that be a pistol bullet?

No expert, but it's appearance and rough dimensions could make it a .44 for the Adams revolver. If so, it's length should be .680 (according to CWPII).

Yep. It's an Adams. It is civil war and a harder bullet to dig.

That's a good one to find for your first dug CW bullet.
