Did pretty good this week....

Today I got an 1863 fatty Indian. Yesterday at the same site I got an 1886 Indian. That is the second scarcest date of the 1880s, so they don't come along that often. I get more flying eagles than these. Got the suspender buckles and the ring at the same site. The home made brass ring is huge. Maybe the biggest ring I've ever found. Don't know what the ring is from, but the top was brazed on seperately.

Also Yesterday I got the 1865 two cent piece at a different cornfield.

Last Friday I hit a good cornfield site. I got three large cents. Dates were 1848, 1853 and could not get the date on the Matron. It's only the third time I've gotten 3 or more largies in one day. The flat button has an iron retainer through the shank. First time I ever got a button that had anything in the shank. The iron didn't stop the Deus II from getting it. I also got my first CSA button (unfortunately, the shank is broken off) and an eagle cuff button. I've not been able to ID the button with the leaping horse on it. The reverse says 'superior quality' 'extra rich'. I also got an 1863 fatty Indian and an F-175/403a civil war token.

Thursday I hit a field where the house was gone by 1872. I got two fattys, 1859 and 1862 (the photo looks like 1889, but it is a fatty and an 1862). this is my third 1859 already this year. I also got a home made silver ring that is so old it does not have a sterling stamp. It is probably made out of coin silver. The top is separate and was soldered on. It has what looks like the name Kim scratched onto it (upside down in the photo).

Here is a bunch of flat buttons and an eagle cuff button that came from the various sites. You can see a bit of gold gilt left on a couple of them.

Good ID tpm other than the proper description for the item you call a candlestick. I use to call them candlesticks also until Red-Coat brought to my attention the correct description for these items is a chamberstick.

I’m not seeing where the shown example of the token represents the same as yours.
One horse is running, the other is standing. No rider on yours.
What does your reverse side look like?

I didn't post a photo of the actual token. It is exactly like the one from the PCGS site. Don't confuse it with the button with the leaping horse in the photo above.

can I assume you are mostly walking corn fields and such? By the dates and types of coins, it really shows the difference between working the farm with horses as opposed to sitting on a tractor. Especially these days, sitting in an air conditioned cab! ...and where are your arrowheads!!!!
