Hi all!
I go by Dig Dude or just Dude, I'm 22 and am located in South California.
Had a metal detector for a while but decided to get back into it recently, which has led me to find some cool stuff. I've been going at it for about a week and a half and have found my self completely addicted. I try to go outside once every day to find some buried treasure.
I use the Garrett Ace 300, I understand it isn't the best model out there according to some posts I've seen about it, but it has served me very well thus far. Aside from that I carry a pinpointer, plastic trowel (for scanning small items and digging in shallow ground), an ice climbing pickaxe for breaking into hard sand, a handheld shovel, and a larger shovel when I need to dig deep or need to dig standing up.
