Dime dump

Did a Brink's box of dimes last week and found 1 silver (a 1964), went to dump at a bank that has a counter in back. I normally don't do dimes and usually only dump zincolns here (reroll my half dumps and take to my CU, this machine doesn't take halves). So I was kinda curious as to 1) if my dime box was short and 2) how accurate this machine was.

Teller comes back with $249.95 written on a little post it note. Says, "There must have been a nickel in there". "Yeah", I say, "must have been".

So brink's and my dump bank counter must be pretty accurate. Plus, my dimes must have knocked somebodies nickel loose in the counter. A "little" bonus to go with the silver.

i'd say either your dump bank / box was very accurate or that your box was 100% accurate containing $250 and the coin counter was 99.98% accurate and counted your 250 as 249.95

Minus the one silver dime, count should have come out $249.90, so actually, I gained .05 somewhere . I'll take it
