Dirt Diggin' Bonanza! Buttons,Coppers,Indians,Indian Artifacts
Well these past 2 days have been VERY good! I headed out with Jim R and Mark out to one of Jim's fields. Found the indians and the pretty 1844 LC along with a handful of buttons. Today my Mom and Arty just went driving on a whim to find some fresh fields. Arty and I were confident because we had the secret weapon! My mom. She is good at getting permission must be a woman thing. Anyway we spent about 3 hours trying to secure permission and ended up in an old area and a nice farmer let us do his old house. Found what looks like a small george coin little smaller than a large little bigger than a HC. Decided to head to one of his plowed fields and nearly left after 15 minutes of nothing. But thanks to my mom who was far to the right we started digging buttons, lots of them. And the enamled black and orange pottery was everywhereeeee. We were diggin fools for the next few hours. Ill just highlight what I found and let those two post their pics! 1817(15 star) Large cent 1809 Half cent 28! buttons a nice saddle shield or decoration that apears silver or tombac. A clog clasp with a nice design on the front. A broken quartz arrowhead and what I THINK is a native american Pestel. Thanks for looking gonna rest now
