Hi everyone,
Maine blessed the Dirt Fishing Crew with some amazing weather over the weekend, 60 degrees in November!, Had a chance to get out dirt fishing with Justin (Fr3nchy27), and we brought along another buddy (Nick) hoping he would get bit by the silver bug. We hit two old foundations that had produced for us in the past, Nick was getting a little discouraged, and said all im digging is "trash", well Justin and I showed him the tons of scrap metal pieces, shotgun shells, and chunks of lead we had been digging, and told him, you have to weed out the junk to get the good stuff from these old cellar holes!. I ended up finding an old button that appears to have 9 stars on it and it looks like it may have been brass or brass plated at one time, and a nice old cufflink at the first site, Then we headed to our second foundation which has produced about 10 old coins for Justin and i in the past and i dug and 1903 IH penny at 7" deep, and then i dug a nice gold plated pendant, the bottom of it pops off, not sure if thats the way it was made or it just came apart. I ended up taking Nick back out on sunday morning, to an old park by my house that use to have about 6 mills along the river, and thats where i found the .925 silver ring. Happy Dirt Fishing All!! Enjoy the pics. P.S. Any info on the button would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
