My discovery 3300 just goes crazy at the beach, it rings from one number to another, Im not good at setting it so maybe its some kind of setting, I just recently moved down south further after my colonial digs, so anyone else know how to fix it?
thanks

hello k ,first and foremost stay away from the wet sand (high mineral content drives a lot of machines crazy) if you plan on doing a lot of beach hunting you may want to upgrade.for the beach (and anywhere else) i recommend a minelab multi freq machine (sovereign, quattro, explorer, safari, etc.) or just for the beach think about a pulse induction detector.no discrimination but much deeper than a vlf machine and a rule at the beach is dig everything.so good luck and hh..........jb

Like johnnyboy25 said. If you're just hunting dry sand, it may be that the mineralization is too much for your sensitivity setting. You should be able to turn that down a bit to make it stable. If you're hunting the wet sand, you're wasting your time as you probably won't be able to use that machine there with any success at all. A PI machine if it's relatively free of iron targets in your area or a good multi-frequency machine from Minelab is the ticket if you want good iron discrimination and a meter.
