All Treasure Hunting
Went to my first DIV last weekend, and was really impressed. Got to meet some fellow detectorists who post here, on other forums, and on YouTube. The comraderie was in itself worth the trip. I hope to get invited back in the spring.
Got to see lots of great finds including a soldiers silver ID ring, a sword and tongue, a musket barrel, etc. Although my finds were somewhat meager I am happy with what I recovered. I got a Burnside bullet, a chewed round ball, friction primer, Gardner bullet and a Shenkel fuse. I could be wrong on IDing these items, like I said I'm new to relic hunting.
Was hoping for something spectacular for my post #1000, but am happy with this.

Congrats on your finds and your first DIV hunt. It usually takes a couple hunts to used to that hot soil. My finds keep getting better each time I go.

Good finds!!! That fuse and primer are a dang good find don't find them around like bullets. Good Job Like Treasurehound said takes time to know that hot ground and what your machine is telling you. Dig Dig Dig

Nice finds! It is a very fun time up there.

I went last fall and struggled too. Couldn't go this fall due to work.

Nice finds. That's some tough ground down there.

It was great you could make it to DIV. It was a blast.
