The wife and I went to Pigeon Forge, TN today. It took exactly 10 minutes at the outlet before I decided that I needed to find some dirt to look at. I lucked out and found a nice guy who was metal detecting. He said I could check out the same stretch of plowed field. I found lots of chipped flint and this nice point laying within 2 tenths of a mile from the strip in Redneck Riveria. That is my kind of shopping! Tomorrow I'm going to Dollywood...maybe not....i'm going back to that field.

HAHA Dolly Wood gives up the goods. I would have liked to have seen that:tongue3:. That area up there is deep in ancient history. What are you thinking Benton.Mud Creek? Looks like some nice work on that stemmer.

I have no idea what type it is TNMTNS...I need to start researching styles/designs...Is there a good book anyone would recommend as a reference? Thanks!

Overstreets Identification and Price guide is pretty good.
