Do all Minelab BBS's do the trick?

I was thinkig of asking a friend to let me borrow his Minelab for a detecting trip to the Baltic Sea in northern Germany. I think it's a Sovereign. I want to use it for the wet sand, since it does not react to salt the way my White's VLF does.

What do you think? Will the infamous BBS technology do the trick?

The Sovereign is a great machine. You should do well with it at the beach, but then again I'm very Pro Minelab!

Let us know how you did.

I agree, I'v never used it on the Beach, But I'v never heard anything but good on BBS for Beaches.

and Yes it is "Sovereign"

and the " Excalibur " is it's Underwater (Waterproof)
Version.

i've owned a beach hunter, surfmaster PI, which are good machines, nothing wrong with em, but like the previously posters, minelab is tough to beat on the beach. I currently use an excalibur 800.......... 8)

The sovereign is definately the way to go there is no doubt about it. In the discriminating mode it has Iron Mask which helps ignore iron targets close alongside good targets which would be missed by other detectors.Plus it is excellent in the sea and on shore in wet salty conditions that other detectors cant cope with. good choice seeya Neilo ;)
