[h=1]Congressional oversight needed regarding the BLM[/h]

The Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell has given the BLM primary responsibility and statutory authority to administer the laws of the General Mining Act of 1872. If the BLM continues to allow non-administered agencies and States to overreach into the statutory responsibility given the BLM, then they are neglecting their duty to uphold the laws of the land and Neil Kornze and Sally Jewell should be held accountable. We request a congressional oversight committee be formed to investigate this agency's lack of responsibility and sometimes complete neglect for the rights of miners in the United States.https://www.change.org/p/doug-lamborn-congressional-oversight-needed-regarding-the-blm

Not just miners but also The American people!!!!

Signed, but not sure I understand why they would ever want to do such a thing (please insert a big note of sarcasm)

So tired of turning on the TV only to hear that this Administration has pasted another law that takes liberties from someone that is a citizen of this country and that someone else died to uphold that law!!! We are sleeping through a legislation of a public servant that The People hired to do a job that isn't doing their job. If, we went to work and did not do that job, how long would you keep that job? We better wake up and start paying more attention to what is going on in our nations capitol or we may just need to start carrying a passport just to drive through this supposed free land!!!

Signed and spread the word. Thanks 2cmorau!

Sally Jewell was the CEO of Washington Mutuals' trillion dollar mortgage package scam. Yes her ability to decimate a countries economy and bankrupt our financial institutions made her a perfect fit to kill the mining economy of the country. No yaaaa today-John

Here's more of her background so you know what we are dealing with:
worked for Mobil oil company on oil fields in Oklahoma from 1978 through 1981, when she joined Rainier Bank. She worked in banking for twenty years, staying with Security Pacific, which acquired Rainier Bank, until 1992, and working for WestOne Bank from 1992 through 1995, and for Washington Mutual from 1995 through 2000.[5][6] In 1996, she joined the board of REI and in 2000 was named chief operating officer. In 2005, she succeeded Dennis Madsen as chief executive officer (CEO).[5]

Jewell has sat on the boards of Premera, the National Parks Conservation Association, and the University of Washington Board of Regents.[8] She helped found the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust.

In 2009, Jewell received the National Audubon Society's Rachel Carson Award for her leadership in and dedication to conservation. The Rachel Carson Award honors visionary women whose expertise and dedication advance conservation locally and nationally.[9]

I signed, don't know why though. Do you?. Lets look at the last week alone. We lost the internet, and bullets or (gun rights). The president makes illegal executive orders and life goes on.

People don't get it, their goal is to protect the wildlife and it's habitat. They have created a machine that at some point will negatively effect them as well. If we truly want to reverse this process then we need to reverse the machines direction. They are targeting rural areas that have the smallest effect on wildlife and habitat. What has the largest impact on wildlife and habitat- Urban areas- CITIES. The same methods of legal madness being used against the rural populace and their lands can be just as effectively applied to urban areas. How much support do you think these extremists would get when the tables are turned and all the golf courses, athletic fields, school yards, and beloved city parks and playgrounds are closed in the name of the endangered species act. Forget the millions of acres in the Sierras lets cut to the chase and close the gates to Yosemite, Golden Gate Park, and the Giants stadium. Change the focus to urban sprawl and destruction of historical habitat. You don't think any of the animals listed on the ESA had historical roots to the Bay Area or Los Angelas Basin? Until rural America starts suing and applying the same points of litigation against the ones suing us we don't have a chance. We need to go on the offense, the same laws they are using against our lands certainly apply and have a more dire consequence on theirs. Apply the same tactics and bogus science to their homes and see how much longer this ESA crud lasts! Like I said far easier to prove permanent damage of wildlife and habitat caused by a city than a rancher with cows on a few thousand acres of remote land. Like it or not we all have to abide by the same set of laws. We have enough organizations defending us, lets change the focus of a few to go on the offense and stop this nonsense once and for all.
