I know there are some people out there, that may not have a good feeling if they're in the middle of a crowd. Especially if you're at a sporting event, or attending a concert. Do you want to have a little more room around you, your own space so to say?

All you have to do is follow my 1, simple instruction. That's right.. I'll give you the magic sentence that will put plenty of free space between you and the crowd.. Normally I charge for this advise, but I'm in a good mood today, so it's yours for free.

Just rock back and forth, repeating this line.. Over and over again to anyone that looks in your direction.

I have new socks.....

You don't believe me? Try this anywhere, on anyone and watch the distance between you grow

A large bowl of pintos with onions the night before helps too. :laughing7:

But that can backfire, sometimes, too! :laughing7:

I'll hafta try to "new socks" trick! LOL! :laughing7:

lol no crazy lines for me, crowds don't bother me one bit

People can just 'look' into my eyes and they will back away.....if I ever get the 'scary' eyes people know by instinct, I don't even have to open my mouth! :laughing9:

FarmerChick, the best use for you is on an elevator.. Say it and people have no where to go.. They'll start looking at the buttons, the floor and even check the lights :laughing7:

You know, it's usually only the crazy ppl in crowds, that make me nervous. :-\

That may not be right either? :help:

lol I agree with Seamuss, the 'look' works great........but truly in a big crowd the look might not work, so being verbal is the way to go. OK--I agree...."I have new socks" should work fine then! :)

how about "I killed my puppy this morning" over and over. I am sure the crowd would part very far from you and give a wide berth.

Seamuss / FC, I think you are both correct.. Any behavior either verbal, or physical will get yo some added free space. When you see odd behavior in a crowd, you do tend to find a move settling area.

If you use this tactic you will simply have to chant: "I need new shorts" :laughing9: :laughing9: :tongue3:

Yes.....they do! :o

packerbacker, well now you have a new weapon in your arsenal

I have the solution on crowded elevators. Stand there looking mad, then suddenly turn to the wall next to you and yell "what?!?!". You will end up all by yourself on the next stop.

that can "back fire" ----yep thats just how it works............back fire

fold your first finger at the second joint -- place it so it looks like you got it crammed up yer nose --make grunting noises going "now I got ya" -- soon you will be very alone. -- or ask if no one knows you -- out loud -- excuse me , are farts lumpy? in a mentally slow type voice .

Hmmm When in a public washroom, a BIG groan just before to drop a cantaloupe into the toilet sure makes people back a way when you leave the cubicle..
