JuJu and I were out with Detectingfreak and we were driving on a windy road, and I mentioned that the road would be great on a bike, and JuJu said "that he had been on this road on a bike",, and out of the back seat Detectingfreak says laughs and says " I just find old people on bikes funny"!
Ahem!! I am only 47 and JuJu is only 34!
Detectingfreak is 19.
He's not so old that he can't be turned over a knee and spanked or put in a corner!
I told him that I was telling on him!
Mrs.JuJu.

Atleast old folks ride bikes. All I see children do these days are ride their blackberries with their thumbs.

I'm old with respitory problems and sciatica and still out walk most twenty year olds now days.

I meant Bicycles that you peddle, not motor bikes. I tease every old person 25 and older who tries to ride one of those Bicylces! :) :laughing7:

Real de, does the 8 second rule apply to riding mules? M :laughing9: nty

What's funnier is when young people have to walk back four miles to their home. Threaten, er, I mean suggest it to him sometime.

Just home from riding my bike, 10 miles, which I usually do 4 or 5 times a week. Oh, by the way , did I mention I'm 2 weeks away from my 57th birthday? RON

Lots of people over 25 ride bikes as it is good exercise and cheaper than driving a car, & better for the environment (though more dangerous in a crash). I heard of a woman in France who rode a bicycle until age 100! HH, George (MN)

I'ma gonna whomp tha tar outta youse ya smart mouthed whipper snapper , ya hea. as my gramps woulda said -- just fer he did it too.

That is one thing about the younger generation, the world has made everything so easy for the younger
people that riding bikes I reckoned it is too much like work.I know that my son which is 20,I would say
that he probably hasn't rode a bike two miles in his whole life. When I grew up in the 70's that was just
about the only way to get around. That is one thing that you never forget once you have learned how
to ride a bike.Being 45 and having a hip replaced it is very relaxing to ride and loosen up the old
joints. And yes,you are right being 19 isn't to old to be turned over your knee and that is what I make
sure my son remembers LOL.My dad is 73 years young and lets me know every now and then that I'm
not to old either.LOL

kids today get atvs and other motorized type stuff to haul their butts about --if they go outdoors away from the video games and tv that is
-- late 60's untill 1977 time frame (when I turned 16) --- when I was a kid until you got a car at 16 (which you have to save up and buy yourself in my family (some kids were lucky their folks would gett em one --- I was not one of those "given" a car --I had to "earn" it myself --so for the 2 years of the years 14 to 16 , I had to "hire myself out" as a rent a slave -- hot sweaty summertimes spent mowing grass -- cold brutal wintertime shoveling snow (only after your homes grass cutting / snow shoveling was done of course and it was done for "free" because you lived there --- no allowance was issued -- you want money go earn it --no one just gives me money -- teach you a bad lesson to just give you stuff --you gotta earn your way in life --pop said) --- until you got old enough (16) and had enough cash to own and operate a vehicle -- incuding paying for insurance * --- mr "pedal" bike was your "best freind" --- because it was that or walk. --- unlike today parents of old didn't "drive you" around like they were your "personal driver" when you wanted to got visit your freinds house a mile away --you ask your folks if it was ok to leave and where you would be at and what you were "supposed" to be doing and when you would be back --(always before sun down --one always had to be home at sundown ) then you rode your bike over there. --of course once you got your "wheels" the bike was put on the scrap heap of "kids toys"
