Do you order dime boxes or just get what the bank has?

i dont usually have problems getting nickel, dime or penny boxes. I do order my halves though.

If I am looking for just a few boxes, banks in my area usually have 1 or 2 on hand and will sell to me regardless if I have an account or not. I go through 32 boxes every week, so I obviously order them. I split up between 4 banks as far as the pick ups. 8 boxes from 2 different banks on Wednesdays and 8 from other 2 banks on Friday. Dumps are split amongst dozens of banks.

How many silvers do you get in an average week? Geez, 32 boxes is $8,000 a week!

Of all 172 dime boxes I have searched since Jan. 1, I have not placed an order for any of them. I also have never picked up more than 2 from any bank either.

The larger bank branches tend to have more than enough to spare 2 or 3 boxes. Don't plan on going to the same branch more than twice a week. I go through about 10 boxes a week from 5 branches of the same bank. Helps to know what day the banks receive their orders. Mine receive on tuesday and can usually not spare more than one on monday. Just ask them to add a couple to their order and have a loop of banks to pick up from.
Check out my sunday find.. just did two boxes. Loomis box was all one branch could spare, and it was a skunk. Second branch sold me a miracle box. 46 silver dimes, 23 mercs!!!! Just keep looking!

I usually average about 50 - 75 per week. Best was 108 and low was 36. When I gave up halves, my goal was one roll of silver dimes every week. I have hit this goal every week for the past 9 weeks.

I went to 2 branches of a national bank today to ask for a box of dimes, neither could spare one. I wound up just ordering 4 from each. I'm going to try and do 16-20 boxes of dimes a week, but since I'm already at 24 boxes of halves a week I'll have to see if I can keep up.

Being that i am a regular at a number of banks i judge it accordingly.

Depends on how I'm feeling that day. Sometimes I hit the boxes hard. If I do well with the boxes, then I keep riding the wave until I start striking out. When that happens, I then try my luck with whatever multiple branches have. $200 per branch seems to be the magic number.......you can get either all customer-wrapped or a nice mix of customer-wrapped or Fed rolled. Doing this today ($200 X 3 different banks) netted me 6 silver Roosies.

This approach is also what prompted me to get the $200 batch at the supermarket Citizens Bank which included the solid Merc roll.
