I know, it all adds up. Actually, I'm proof of that, I've found enough over the years for 3 detectors. :laughing7:

Anyway, here's some more to "enjoy";

These two were back to back. A really
*NICE* signal!

About as far back as one can get
and not be a wheatie. About 9 inches
deep too.

Kinda wish they'd lose more of these. ;)

nice finds free money is the best

Nice assortment of finds. Congrats

I agree that found clad can be turned into gear, detectors, or even treasure. A fellow posted recently he's bought a Peace Dollar with clad he'd found.

Looks like you had a great day out and lots of finds - congrats! :icon_thumright:

I haven't found enough yet, to comment.

However, it's a personal feeling, getting tired of something, & I assume you don't mean physically & mean mentally. Dad & I have not got bored of scrappies, so that's kind of similar?? (we are over the 10,000 mark)

FISHY!!! Shame on you! 😳

I used to average around $150 a year in clad. Last year, I found $94 in clad and this year only $22 so far. So yes, I think I'm getting sick and tired of digging up clad coins!

Nicely done Whadi,,
In NYC I could average $500 to $800 a year in clad alone. The clad take would drop a little in the summer when I got into the water. That's when the Gold take would go up. Haha
Out here in Pennsylvania, I dont see those kind of numbers anymore.

If it was not for clad I could not metal detect. That is all I find every time I go out, to see how much I can come back with, just found a 1959 and a 1961 the other day was happy to find something that old still in the ground. Happy Hunting everyone.

just wished we used Loonies and Toonies like Canada - guys up there can pull some good cash when they start finding those

if I get Tired of clad, I may as well stay home :coffee2:

as usual nice hunk of change !

I have no problem with clad. Come end of season when the ground starts to freeze up, out comes the tumblers. My clad gets a nice little bath and into the free credit union coin counters it goes. I then turn that clad into some nice shiny silver :) and increase my Morgan collection. So I love clad!

I get tired of clad very easily. I have spots where I could go pull as much as I wanted. I just get bored of it easily as its not interesting and has no history behind it (well except how my grand father was part of the process for making the metal that got rolled into sheets that the coins where cut from). There needs to be some chance in finding history when I detect.

Clad is one step above trash to me. But like can slaw and the rest of the junk we find, you have to dig clad to find the good stuff. I like to think of it as spendable pull tabs.

I can deal with most clad and foreign coins but pennies I hate them with passion :BangHead:

Nice finds, congratulations! :occasion14:

i have mason jars full of clad but im always hoping for silver thers a park i go to there are areas where i can hit clad every swing but i dont want to make a ton of holes even though i am very careful it does add up though

Love digging the clad, no emotional attachment to what I find and it actually puts money in my pocket. It's always available, no permissions needed, and even the most basic detectors are sufficient to use in the search, no headphones, no pin-pointer, and easy retrieval using a screwdriver. Keep It Simple S..... freedom! I only dig quarters in the dry summer months to avoid grass damage in the local parks and go back in wetter winter ground conditions to dig the low conductors searching for gold when plugging doesn't damage the dormant grass. The dimes and other coins I leave in summer pay my gas and battery expenses during the winter gold hunts. Took out my bought used and cheap Bounty Hunter Junior last weekend, which can disc out everything below a quarter, and dug 33 clad quarters in 4 hours, had a blast, see you at the bank! Video of the hunt

I hate having to dig and clean clad, but, that feeling goes away when I'm dumping all that clad into the Coinstar and getting a nice gift card to my favorite places! :laughing7:

DSCN2113.webp I absolutely NEVER get tired of clad, it's what keeps me going. At the end of each hunt season I cash it in and use the money to buy silver coins. Sometimes I buy gold coins instead. The pic shows the silver I bought with my 2017 clad finds.
