Just tidying up some blasts from the past (including some very ancient ones), largely for the benefit of anyone searching the site for information.

The company seems to have been formed in 1909 by two graduates from Princeton University. This, from the Princeton Alumni Weekly, Volume 10 [1909]:

By 1931, they were operating as the “Thompson Wood Co.” (without an ampersand) at 21 Main Street, Bradford. Couldn’t find any early advertisements to suggest what the bottle may have held, but in the 1930s they were advertising “Parmint (double strength)” as a remedy for “catarrhal deafness or head noises” and “Moone's Emerald Oil” (your money back if Emerald Oil doesn't clear your face).

Sometime around 1941 they were taken over by the Whelan Drug Company who were advertising themselves as “successors to Thompson Wood 21 Main St.” in the Bradford daily record of 26 September, 1941.
