Does anyone know how much gold is in a gold plated half?

We've all seen them, gold plated halves with counterstamped dates on them. But does anyone know how much gold is on them. I have a couple and there's some I've put back into the wild simply not thinking they're worth anything. With gold at $1380/oz, is there at least 5 bucks worth of gold on the halves?

I keep all the gold plated ones I find, but I'm not sure of how much gold is actually on them. Worth saving though.

Dont know but its not much. Doubt its more than a $1 or 2.

So little it doesn't increase the value at all. In fact, some coins are worth less if they are gold plated.

A guy at my local flea market was selling them for 5 bucks each. I knew it wasn't worth much over face.
