It says the word PATENT. Also has 2 stars and the numbers 1 4 and maybe one more number. I think it’s some sort of bullet head stamp or something but am not sure, any help would be appreciated.

To me it looks like half of a snap button for clothes. Like Bib overalls or a Jacket.

Although it does look like a jeans rivet button...I would not rule out a kerosene lamp wick riser knob, I think I see the word "Patent" in an older font.

Not a Shotgun head stamp....Never saw a shotgun shell with the word PATENT on it...
