Dog to sniff out paper money????

Like G.I.B says dogs can smell bed bugs and cancer. So, you will need to train your dog to smell the ink on the bills. Get some new uncirculated bills to train with.

This is a true story. I lived on an island for a while that is a major summer vacation place. There were only two wet towns among the five towns on the island and you had to go to these two towns for bars and liquor stores. I knew a guy who was a charter fisherman who lived on his boat in the harbor of the town with the most and rowdiest bars and he had a small mutt which he had trained to sniff out and bring home paper money. The bars closed at midnight and after the people left he would let his dog out to run around and the dog would often return with a few bills the partyers had dropped. Might have been just a one, sometimes a few ones, sometimes larger denominations, but often returned with cash. I did have the pleasure of drinking late at night on the boat and saw the dog bring back a couple fives one night. This dog was famous among the people who knew him and the owner. I lived in the other wet town where closing time was 12:30 AM and would often walk the streets after everybody cleared out and went home and on several occasions found dropped bills or jewelry in the streets.

My old dog always had it's nose up someone's crotch or butt. Can't say i even had to train her to do that. Since most circulated money has traces of feces and urine on it, i'm sure i could have been rich....

Watching youtube and on the border security they have dogs that are for sniffing for cash.
