dollar signals

I get them left and right with my 250.

I get tons of dollar signals and dig them; only once did it pan out for me, an 1899 Morgan.

I use a Garrett and a Fisher and I get the same thing and have yet to dig a silver dollar. :-[
But with both machines " digital readout " if they give a strong signal and jump just a little I know its trash.
But yes I have dug many of them signals just to make sure and always will.
Silver dollars to you all.

I usually dig up one of those large mouth bottle caps when I get a dollar signal, about 1 1/2 in. in dia.

The "Dollar" signal is only an icon on the LCD or meter as the largest conductive rating. It doesn't mean it is going to be a dollar.

Some detectors have an Overload Signal for when a target is to close to the coil. Sometimes it's a can, sometimes it's a half dollar or watch near the surface.

Usually a soda can or a deep zink jar lid will give a dollar signal. The tone will usually give you a good Idea it is not a silver dollar. But I dig them unless I am in a area where there is a lot of jar lids.
