ground is frozen at home. but downstate
remain diggable even tho now very cold
and windy on the backside of the big storm.
was hunting in a rippin 20 mph SUS wind w gusts
to 52. n about 22 degrees. could only stay
out for an hour in this.
nevertheless got 2 keepers. very 1st signal 37 wheat.
near frozen end of hunt gotta 14-58 . my highest
conductivity reading ever. imagine my excitement
to pull a giant greenie. no not a lc. silver dollar
size copper trade token. brewery item. no photos
yet its gonna need some special cleaning before a camera
could see the writing and no camera here anyway
add pics later.
i would like id and value help from any breweriana or
token collectors who know what this is.
just slightly smaller than silver dollar. obv reads
"WILL BE ACCEPTED AS 25 CENTS ON PURCHASE PRICE OF CAN
BLATZ MALT SYRUP" dime sized pic of can with blatz malt syrup written in tiny letters.
rev sez " to dealers this tokenwill be redeemed
by us providing conditions on reverse have been complied with
VAL BLATZ BREWING CO MILWAUKEE USA.
VERY COOL to me. i have not found very
many good for tokens so to me is better
than a silver dime.
ground was nice and soft from the precip ahead of the storm
overnight low here 16. tom hi 28. hopefully
the ground has enuf held heat that it can stand 18
hours or so of intense cold w/o freeze up yet
and even if it does i squeezed this hunt in.
i bet not many other hunters were out anywhere
in illinois today. modern clad 16 c.
