Donated: Metal Detecting Services

My sons choral group was having a silent auction as a fundraiser. I needed to donate items...so one thing I donated was detecting services. Several people bid and the winner paid $65!!! And I am so excited...I get to detect at a 300 year old house that has been in the same family for 4 generations! I can't wait for a little warmer weather now! I'm hoping this will open other doors also as I had business cards on the table. Maybe I'll hear from the losers of the auction too!

This is a very good idea. My Rotary Club has a silent auction every spring along with out pancake breakfast. I think I will follow your lead and donate my services. I will even leave some of my business cards laying around.

This is really a nice idea to get a handle on places to hunt. Don't forget to contact the local paper as they may want to do a story which can open more doors.

This is such a fabulous idea...I love it!!!!!! And I think I'll follow suit and dnate my services when I host a silent auction for a no-kill animal shelter in March!

Very good idea I must say... does the auction winner hold the ticket until they lose something? or do they have you md their property? Do you get to keep any of the finds? Sounds like a great way to get good press for a great hobby!!
