Nothing good comes out of China...except Chinese food. I take that back , it tastes good, but your hungry 10 mins after eating a lot of it.

My father boughtme a Zebco 202 when i was a kid. Early 70's. It still works to this day.its a shame the quality of products go sour. Black and decker is the same way.good then,junk now .

Yep, they stop using metal and start using plastic and nylon for gears and other parts. Quality control goes to hell and soon you have a worthless piece of junk sold under what used to be a quality name.

I have a giant no full of old zebco's that I've collected over the years. Some are very old and miraculously they all work great. With some good line they all function like normal. And most parts interchange. I use zebco's for catfishing and Abu Garcia open face for crappie and bass and the Abu Garcia bait caster for bass and any other type.
