Don't forget to hunt the easements!

Found this today in the park and down a sidewalk easement. All the good items were found on the sidewalk and most of the .78 cents in clad was found at the park.

Strange, I found a 3 ringer next to the sidewalk where I had parked my truck. The rock looking thing is a chunk of lead. One of the items was a Mexican 1882 2 Centavo coin. One of the Wheats is a semi-key 1911 D.

Kinda cool, a 1944 Mercury dime. I finally broke my drought of not finding silver. It has been 10 hunts since I found the last one.

The house was abandoned and while we were wrapping up the police pulled in behind me. Apparently, someone called the police on us even though we stayed in the easement and sidewalk. They were cool and told me that I was doing nothing wrong. I already knew this because I spoke to the city befor hand and they didn't have any issues with me detecting the easements.

I spoke to a neighbor and they stated that the house was owned by an eccentric (they didn't put it that nicely) man who just uses the houses he owns to store all his junk. His yard looked like a junkyard and from my understanding he owns half the houses on the block.

Nice finds there! Most of my best coin finds have been on the edge of parking lots and easements.
HH!

we call them "tree belts"
I used to do very well on them in my early days - a lot of guys don't like hitting that close to the road
you find some near old houses and your going to get some goodies

It would be cool to hunt the yard, but from what the neighbor has told me the fellow doesn't live there and has a few marbles loose. I think that he may have driven by and called the police on me to begin with. He has a very, very large house and his yard is around 3/4 of an acre. I am not sure of the age of the house, but there were signs telling me that it may be very old. The culverts going under the driveways were a thick, square metal tube. I have never seen that before.
