I bought this last week at an antique shop. It looks like brass and simulated gemstones. Any ideas

I thought that's what those are. I've seen em, but never found one worth picking up. I did find a carved ivory page tuner labeled as a book marker. I sold it on ebay before they got tougher on that stuff.
