Actually, Steve did the knocking. People like him, they won't know how to take me as I'm very quiet. I think at 67, I'm not going to be able to change a lot of that. But Steve broke the ice, knocked on the door.

Next time, I promise I'll do the first knock - hear that Steve?

We only searched there about an hour, not a lot more.

I was up swinging and Steve called me over. He had a first. And he's said he'll reveal that one! Great find in my book! I've never found one - YET anyway :)

But, I dug $0.45 clad, 5 Memorials, 2 Wheats (got them soaking - look very early, thought my eyes saw 1914 but maybe that's just wishful thinking.). And my first silver coin since the 80's - 1917 Merc :)

Congrats on the first silver coin in a long time, that even makes me feel good.

Glad that you were able to get out with a fellow TNetter and have a good time.

Well played sir!

Thanks Tom,

We'll be coming down your way soon :)

I think you'll like good people, you got them with us :)

Nice silver, Not much silver over here, but I hope to get to some old base housing that has been abandoned this winter and find some silver from the 50's when the bases were built.
Again Congrats":occasion14:

Nice Mercury dime find, congratulations!

very nice. it is great when you get permission. sometimes people freak out when they start to see you dig though. i run into that a lot. my piranha shovel by predator tools prob dont help much. :icon_scratch:

Congrads Deepseeker!! Very Nice old silver! :icon_thumright:

Awesome, I am glad to here your extensive silver drought has come to an end. Permissions are the way to go.

Thats quite a silver drought. I'm glad the Merc snapped it open for you. Congrats.

I just saw Steve's thread, and he also nabbed an Indian in addition to his Barber dime!

Yesterday was a great day! Just maybe today will be good to us as well :)

Wow......1st silver since the 80's? I am very happy for you!!
If I ever need inspiration because the "finds" are not forthcoming, I need only remember your persistence. Thank you for sharing..................
