One week after what was my best hunt yet, which I thought I'd never top, I returned for a quick after work trip and found 2 Spanish Real's, and both are in good enough shape to identify. The first was a 1747 2 real hammered Fernandus VI from Mexico City. The second was a minted 1743, Philip V one real in great shape.

It was also the first time I rolled a plug back and had a silver coin looking back at me. Just my second and third Spanish Silvers ever on the same hunt. Now I'll never top this one!

Nice hunt. Thats a Lima, Peru 2 reales I believe.

Congrats. Enjoy those Spanish silvers because they dont come around often unless youre constantly doing research and hunting new ground. I cant even get one under my coil on a site that gives up 30 large coppers.

Whatever....
I'd been over that spot 20 times. :BangHead:

That’s a incredible find!!!! A Spanish and a Cob spill is unbelievable. Congratulations

I also have never pulled back a plug and saw my silver looking back at me. Not once lol

Awesome, the shock would probably do me in, big congratulations on the saves

Amazing finds! That cob and the milled 1 Real look awesome. Congratulations!

That's awesome! Congratulations!

Good thing you didn’t dig that shotgun shell first. Great day!

That's a killer hunt. You're diggin' up some nice finds the last couple of weeks. Congrats mbcuce

Awesome!!! I’m Drooling!!! Congrats!!!

Really nice, I still need a cob!

I think you're underestimating our hobby, you can ALWAYS better yourself. With the right research & sometimes a bit of luck there is very little ceiling.

Absolutely awesome! Congrats on the really nice coins.

Wow.

You are right. We have been diligent with research and permissions and seem to keep topping ourselves. Next up revolutionary snake button, a 1600’s copper, and a gold coin!

Woah, very nice. Those are some historic pieces of silver. Way to go!
