Could some of you folks please take a look at these photos an tell me f you find any gold? A guy I am working with said he saw a nugget a man found while hiking in this area that was about the size of a golf ball, pure gold no quartz. Also he gave him a quartz piece with a gold stringer through it. I am heading there in a couple of weeks but it is big country an would appreciate some help narrowing it down some. Thanks John pl.webppl2.webp

Yellow line box (or solid filled circles) for gold veins and deep alluvial placer deposits.
Yellow outline circles for shallow alluvial gold placer deposits.

I am getting an exposed gold vein. There is gold float ( what the old timers called it) all over the map. Gold float is gold that has come from the exposed gold vein from weathering and is working its way down the mountains. I would think that there is more exposed gold veins in the area. When it reaches the water it becomes placer gold.Search the gullies for gold. Look for spots that would slow the water down and let the gold fall out.

Again yellow for native gold deposits.

"Yellow line box (or solid filled circles) for gold veins and deep alluvial placer deposits.
Yellow outline circles for shallow alluvial gold placer deposits."

Check the black circle areas first, for nuggets or coarse gold.

Thank you Red Desert and Art again for taking the time. I know you guys here this all the time, but if I have any success, I will make it right with you. I am not greedy just looking for a better way! I know dowsing works but I just have not perfected it yet. When ever I make a location in the field, there is always something there, copper, bullet, scrap metal or shell casing. Just need to learn to discriminate better. I few back east a few years ago to meet a dowser and get help. He was literally living the dream!!!Great man, and very helpful. Said he had been at it about forty years! Took 11 years to put it all together and start to make some finds. How many people would stick with it that long? Thanks again john
