Been a bit busy and forgot to post this. Got out to a field last week. Grass was really high and didn't find much, but did manage an 1805 Draped Bust half cent. I find plenty of large cents but not many half cents. Although it's pretty worn, it's fairly balanced. I'll take it any day.

That's a nice one Don. :headbang: Only half cent I ever found was a classic head 1809.

Funny, after 35 years detecting I found my first half cent earlier in the year, a 1795 Liberty Cap. Now I find my second so soon after. Went a long time waiting for my second two cent piece. Two years ago I found 2 of them and last year I found 7. It's what makes this hobby fun.

That's a beauty Don. Of the 5 draped half cents I've found, only one looks as nice as yours. GREAT FIND man!

Thanks Scrappy. Although it was fairly worn when lost, it still has a nice balance and appeal without deep corrosion.
