Happy November All- I was able to get out for a 3 hour Halloween Hunt yesterday. I explored a newish spot close to home, and once again found myself in the middle of a pricker patch.

At the two hour mark I hit on a nice sounding signal ( VDI= 92). After a little work out popped a US large cent at about 4 inches. I re-scanned the hole, and about a foot away I heard a faint signal that showed a VDI of 87. This coin was significantly deeper ( about 8-9 inches) and was hiding below a bunch of roots. Lots of cutting and hacking to open up the hole finally revealed a British half penny.

I was more than surprised to find these two coins in the same hole given that they were at different depths and different ages. I'm assuming it was an early pocket spill. The coins cleaned up pretty well, but dates are hard to see. The British half penny is a KG II (?young bust), and the US large cent appears to be a Draped Bust. I hesitate to do any further cleaning for fear of making them look worse.

Thanks for taking a look. Hope everyone is able to have a productive November before the weather gets too rough. Cheers!
