nice find!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nice find! Maybe a long olive oil soak might show a date.

This is after warm olive oil bath. I was surprised to even see her face.

awesome DB!, be careful with it though, I did the olive oil on one of mine, and now I got a black disc with a barely legible Right facing silhouette. and no date, sometimes theyre just a bit too far gone for a date

Tony, you must have a hundred ticks on you if your in a SJ woods, judging by all your finds I would too. Nice save as usual, congrats!

Nice find! Thanks for sharing...

Nice early coin.

There are some guys on here that know every variation so maybe they can shed some light on the year?

Either way that's a cool coin !

Sent from my iPhone using TreasureNet

excellent find!!! congrats:occasion14:

Cool Draped Busts! I found two that have to be held just right to make out details, and no date. Sometimes part of the coolness of these old finds is curiosity of what exactly it is.

super cool coin

Wow..... what I wouldn't give for one that age. LC's are few and far between in Tennessee due to our age, but a draped bust is ultra rare. Congrats

Really nice. I think sometimes we have to just be happy with them as the come out of the ground. I ruined my first British half-cent trying to "clean it up".

Nice!

The one I dug last week here in N.H. is in about the same condition. No date :icon_scratch:
Thought it was a regular large cent till I noticed that the face was facing to the right and had the bow beneath the ONE CENT on the reverse.

Nice LC , careful with cleaning!
I see 18## , so date is between 1800-1807.

Yeah this one was bad. The cleaning issue always comes up with coins. You just need to know your limits. If I thought this coin has details I probably would try electrolysis. The silver caped I dug last week got really nothing at all, just a lot of water an dab of wet Qtip..The coin gurus were freakin.lol. but the coins are what they are. A coin that was in the ground for 200 years that you found. I love this hobby. I'm totally addicted.
