If you walked into a bank and could only buy only one roll of coins, what would it be, what would it look like and what would it contain? Don't just think about value here and feel free to throw out all sense of reality in this fun-filled exercise! :laughing7:

My ultimate score would probably be an old tattered roll of half dollars from a small town bank that had the word "Commemoratives" written on it in cursive and it would contain 20 of the most rare old turn of the century era State Commemoratives in BU condition!!!

I've always loved old coppers... so I'd like to buy a roll of early large cents. Yes worth a lot... but would be cool to have coins with such history.

A roll of halves with "HALF DOLLAR" on the side instead of reeding. Yeah I think that would do it.

roll of 1798 half dollars un AU condition

What would rally be great if I could got into a bank and get any type of full coin foll I would love to go and get a full roll of seated coins. I could care less if it was half dimes, dimes, quaters, halfs or dollars.......Matt

Hmm.....A roll of 1870-CC Liberty Seated Dollars, BU of course. History, value and scarcity all in one. :icon_thumright:

Of course, Dahlonega gold would be nice too. ;D

I recently bought a roll of halfs that said "1917" on the side. Inside were some amazing finds, of which I'll post pics later.

i walk into a bank, ask the simple "do you have any halves or 'silver' dollars?", to which they reply, "yes, i have some in my drawer, but theyre kinda old, if you still want them" they lay them out, and i see 10 morgans, and 5 walkers and 10 barbers...i ask then if they have any in the vault, they check, and come back laying down 5 rolls of 'silver' dollars, 15 rolls of halves, all in $20.00 rolls (halves and dollars) and i walk out of the bank, open the rolls only to find out the halves are solid rolls of seated and barber halves, (plus to my disappointment 2 walkers :laughing9: ), and the dollars are all morgans (all CC's too). sorry, this isnt exactly a roll, but this would be my "Dream Bank Find/Score". :laughing9:
keep it up and hh!

You can laugh at my response .... My pick would be a roll of wheaties.
I remember selling my first collection ...about 30 years ago for a pack of smokes.
Then I would save a few .... need gas
find a few ...found 20 wheat's in an old car once and so on.
Then when I started wait ressing got quite a few . Then somebody helped themselves to my stash :'(
Since then I have started my collection back up . I did get hard up a few winters ago and sold 1 penny, of course I regret it now .
So for me its more about memories when and where I found them and hard times & good times . HH Vickilynn

A roll of nickels that are actually a solid roll of (early) British Sovereigns.

A roll of mixed rare coins all mixed coins, some as large as a dollar coin and some as small as a silver 3c... All combined into one roll! In BU shape of course! (key dates as well)
