Well Yeaterday was pretty darn amazeballs!! Literally just said whatever and took a ride to the East Bay Area of Rhode Island, these farms date back to the 1600s and beyond, started a bit slow with only a few tin and foil hits at the first spot, looked at the aerial view and spotted a bunch of old farm fields just down the street, took a short ride and asked a guy working on the building if he cared if I went into the fields to find some old stuff, he said have at it! Ended up taking a long walk to the back of the field and lone behold the only signal I heard the whole time there was a clean 21 on the nox, figured maybe a deep large cent, to my utter amazement 8” deep out pops a A.D 300-400 ROMAN COIN!!!! My first and super high on anyone’s bucket list, who would have thought in RI?! Ended up swinging a while longer without a single hit and said time to move on. As I was Driving down the street noticed a section of farm field marked out for development and asked a neighbor if he minded if I tried to find some history before it’s developed, he said he’s never seen anyone try it so go ahead and try, BINGO!! Covered about 3/4 of the field and holy smokes did it pay off!! No one has ever hit this field and it showed! 4 1/2 Coppers only one had any detail, ended up being what I believe is a 1723 Hibernia?, buttons, musket balls, and some cool bale seals. Definitely a darn good beautiful day saving history!! Still in awe!
