"DREAM WEEK" My 3 week roller coaster ride.

Week 2 ending 6/7/08

Did 15 boxes of Halves last week, about usual for me, and I had the absolute worst week. I had just came off the previous Week 1 ending 5/31/08 which was about an average take for me lately outside of my dream roll of dimes. That week I booked about 17 40%'s with a combonation of cold calling and 15 boxes.

Week 3 DREAM WEEK

In addition to 12 boxes of Halves (I cancelled 1 stop due to the distance and lack of production) I did cold calling and also picked up 2) 1k bags of Dimes 2) bags of Nickles and 4) bags of Penny's.

Very busy week for me. Put in lot's of time. And it paid off this week.

Totals for the week in Silver Coins. The breakdown

31) Walking Liberty's......Theses came out of 1 box.....just the 31 W.L.'s (8 in the 30's)
5) Ben Franklin's.......... 2 in 1 box.... 3 in another
5) 1964's.....2 cold calling
4) 1965.......1 cold calling
6) 1966
20) 1967......1 cold calling
10) 1968......1 cold calling
1) 1969

Total 41 90%'s
41 40%'s

Dimes

6) Mercury's....2 in bag 1......4 in bag 2........ a very fine 1935P in the mix
114) Rosie's.......9 in bag 1.....96 in bag 2....... 9 more cold calling out of about $600 in hand rolls
eight) Canadian...................All from bag 2....... a 1904 in the mix

Total 128 90% silver dimes

Nickles

4) War Nickles. and a bunch of pre 1960's including a nice pair of 1938's P&D......no Buffalo's or V's

Penny's

1) 1892 Indian Head....found in first of 4 bags
76) Wheaties......4 bag total.......nothing special to report here. mostly 40's & 50's

Three times this week my heart skipped a beat.
Monday..found the 1892 Indian Head penny.....
Tuesday Dream Bag of Dimes.......
Wednesday mini vein 31 walking Liberty's out of a single box. No other silver in that box just the 31 W.L.'s
Thursday was a 3 box skunk.
Friday ended with 1 skunk and 2 productive boxes producing a dozen 40%'s and 7 really nice clad proofs. 1991,93,94,2000,01,04.04

In addition to all the silver I also found

3) magic coins
2) 1982P no FG's

Also made several trips to my dump banks and pulled some cool stuff out of the trash can including about 3 bucks in Canadian coins and found a quarter in a coinstar machine at the grocery store today...Fri.

Good gosh Mojo......excellent week! Nice to see large quantities of Walkers being found. You've pulled a very nice variety as well.....IH, War Nicks, Frankies, Walkers, 64's, 40%, Rosies, Mercs, Wheats, Magician, pre-60's, No Fg's and Canadian silver to boot. Just about everything but the kitchen sink....ha!

Congrats....great work.....well done!

Wow checked it out. Thanks for the ID. & link and your quick responce. I just knew I get a answer to this mystery with the great bunch of folks here in The CRH forum at TNet.

The posting lists it as a key coin, so it will be interesting to see if it brings in anything.

Funny thing is I didn't know which way is up on the one side of the coin. Looks like I got it upside down.

Those are 2 separate coins. I just like to get closeups of the older ones. The obverse on both of these have King George on them instead of Queen Elizabeth. I will re post both sides of the 2 if your curious.

Nice haul. If my memory serves me correctly, I think that 1904 canadian dime is 92.5% silver.

Great score on those Walkers!!! Yes, that is an Arabic coin. If you look closely, you'll notice their writing isn't that much different than ours. That coin is worth 3 Llama rides.
