I have posted a couple of these before but I found one yesterday so I thought I would post the total.

the bottom two aren't drilled but they are tiger shark and I just really like them.

Thanks for posting the drilled shark teeth, I always thought that some were drilled but no one ever posted as such. You`ve found a real time capsule at that site.

did you ever clean up that ring with the purple stone, spanish and indian artifacts.....to much fun it would be hard to leave
 

Ha ha... I I know what you mean. the mosquitoes get convincing after a while. As far as I went with the amethyst was a jeweler and a forensic gemologist believe it or not. Didn't want to destroy the object to find out what it was. so then I ask my sister who works at a vetinary clinic to take an x-ray. it appears to have been part of a small crucifix. the the gemologist and jeweler working together to come to the conclusion that it is rose cut amethyst from mexico.. foil set in silver and fits and 18th century profile.
