I have no clue what it was for, I do know it is probably 1948 ... any suggestions?

Cool bottle with the embossed flowers, but it's pretty modern

I was thinking it was a wine bottle? I know it is nothing super special, just that the embossing is pretty cool. I wish I knew what may have been in it at one time.

It looks like a "Rose's Lime Juice" (cordial) bottle. Take a look at some pics of some older examples and the parallels between the embossed design will be quite clear.
