I was thinking it was a wine bottle? I know it is nothing super special, just that the embossing is pretty cool. I wish I knew what may have been in it at one time.

It looks like a "Rose's Lime Juice" (cordial) bottle. Take a look at some pics of some older examples and the parallels between the embossed design will be quite clear.

That is exactly what it is!! I looked closer and found the embossing rose & co ltd. Thanks a bunch { 8
