I think it may be bare island as the type which would place it late archaic to early woodland. As far as years it could range from 4500 bp to 1500 bp

Did you find it under the same tree?

I moved right across from the tree and worked in the hill a little bit then there it was

Thats a real zinger!

You will find one don't give up

Great to see you finally found a great Point. Looks like a Brewerton to me.

Super nice point!! You're on the trail now!!

Nice find. When stuff was really made in America. Wonder if that was in an animal or person,r.i.p., and the arrowshaft decayed away, or just a missed shot and lost arrow. We may always think they just dropped them and lost them, but they could've been in their intended targets.

True!
Great find USA1- thats a really cool point.

Hey its just me but dang they should give you banner for finally finding 1. Whew what a long journey it has been waiting and waiting to see something other than a rock in front of me looking at your post, congrats.

If you want an expert opinion, I would suggest emailing the state archaeologist or possibly Penn State University anthropology/archaeology. I found a Guilford point at a local construction site and the state archaeologist responded in hours with what they believed it was (guilford point).
