Often times I see here when a bank gives a hard time to members say they just became my dump bank. Most banks in my area do not have coin machines. How do you use them as a dump without a coin machine? Maybe I live in an area where coin machines arent popular ,or are you guys rerolling them?
No way am i ever going to re-roll. I found a place with a counter, or just ask if they will take it loose in a bag.

Back before I retired CRHin' I had more drop(dump) banks than box pick up banks. The key is to locate several in your area that have counters and get an account with them. Learning what each individual bank will tolerate is your challange  I find you get better results with a little suger versus viniger, be polite, 50% of the tellers will have a clue on what your doing the other 50% could care less. In the high point of my CRHin' I was going through almost 20,000 in halves a week, with probably 10,000 cash so dumping was/had to be planned out accordingily. I met alot of nice folks and several real pain in the butt types hunting. There's nothing like opening that box of halves and finding 181 walking liberty's :icon_king: they are rare but worth the effort. My wife and I would go road trippin' also and nothing like finding silver in someone elses neighborhood
I feel in order to be good you first have to be lucky and second you have to search tons of coins ;D ain't going to find it all but your share is out there.
About your question though be nice and figure a way to dump your coins, alot of tellers/vault personnel will work with you.
Happy Hunting (you guys and gals are making me want to come out of retirement)

Halves are not that bad to reroll. But Thats where I draw the line. May do some loose quarters or other personnel change! But as far as a boxed, small chump change NO Frigin WAY! Best is to find a bank that gives you their secured bag and they send it out, you should have an idea of the ballpark figure. I would not want to count it myself in the banks counter. Waste of time! just my .2 cents
Good luck

A good quality casino type counter will count out a 1000 bucks in just several minutes. Quicker money turn around means I have more available now to buy more coins. JMHO everyone finds what works for them, rolling large quanities of dumps is no fun for anyone ( I think we all can agree on that)

Unfortunately I live in a very rural area. I have 2 choices re-roll or pay 7 cents on the dollar to run them through a local coinstar machine. The only benefit is, there is less competition in my area.
