In my neighborhood, there is a current trend when mom and dad pass away to just bring in a dumpster and toss everything in the house that no one in the family claims. Been through three of these dumpsters in the last month, and loaded 1/2 of my 12x40 storage unit with my finds. Just now sorting through some of them. First box yielded 13 pieces of silverplate and one sterling silver tray. Sold the tray yesterday for $225. figure to get another $50-$100 for the rest of the silverplate. enclosing pics of all the loot spread out, and the tray. Will post more as I open more boxes.

as they say -one persons trash , is anothers treasure * ---(it goes for things other than phyiscal items as well) my current wife says if she ever meets my ex wife all she will say to her is "thank you" * for divorcing me -- since my current wife says --I'm her dream husband . :icon_thumright:
