I had about two hours today to do some hunting in a yard I've been cleaning up; the house shows on a map of 1906 and abuts one from 1808 so there has to be something old there! I did manage a 1909 and 1913 wheat, plus a couple clay marbles the last few visits, along with some later wheats. Today I did a little better! My first good signal turned out to be an 1888 Indian head penny in pretty nice shape. I'd have to list an "Army Navy Production Award" in Sterling as the highlight of the day, however
. For those of you who know about such things, would this be WWII era? I guess two of my other finds are buttons of a sort: one US which I assume is military and a smaller one that says: "NRA Junior Rifle Corps." I've shown a couple other doo-dads that completed the day, and I met my goal for the session: an old coin and some silver!
