E-Trac and Salt Beach

Wondering what you guys thoughts are on using the E-trac on a salt beach to hunt the wet sand during low tide? I know they say to spray down the shaft and clean the coil after a hunt. I have a rain jacket that covers the control box....only thing I'm unsure about is the salt spray/air corroding things

I have been using mine, down at Galveston, ETRAC performs great!

I have friends who use theirs at the beach, it works great, just protect it from the salt spray....

Max of VA beach uses his all the time with no trouble. As Treasure Hunter says, protect it from the salt spray. A baggie works well but don't tape it closed as condensation will develop and make MD unstable.

I am pretty sure Max uses an SE Pro. But if SE Pro works, I would bet the E-Trac is just as good.
