thats my first silver with my new e trac. I found only 4 or 5 since I have been detecting since 2008/2009 with my prizm 2
dime was only 2 or 3 inches deep.
I have found lots of bullets at this new park that I have found. 4 or 5 everytime I go there?
I believe park is from 30s or 40s?
I believe they may have let you hunt in this park a few decades ago?
coin found in southern california.

Hey nice mercury. I found my first 1916 merc last week. Can you read the mint mark? Maybe it's a D. Regardless great find.

it looks like W?

no, the mint mark is on the back, below the branch next to the "E" in one. Yours looks like a worn bump on the coin. can you make out if it's an s or a d ?

Looks like S to me also but it is worn good... hey good job

that shows you how much I know about coins! it looks like a (S) to me?

Great find! That E-Trac will get you plenty more silver to :icon_thumright:

Congrats! My first silver with an E trac was a 1916 dime as well. Unfortunately, mine was a philly mint mark.
nice first find for you anyway!

Well plan on finding many more!

The Minelab Etrac has a reputation of beating out the white's in the Silver category.....Or any category as far as that goes. :laughing7: All my buddies who have hunted with me that owned white's have converted over to the Minelab side. It's just the way it goes.

You will just love that E-Trac ...Go back too all your spots you hit with the Prizm, You will be amazed what you missed the first time :headbang:

That's the beauty of the etrac. Since I got mine its like every place I've been is kind of virgin territory again. I have pulled silver and other treasures out of every single "worked out" spot around here. Even the very old city park that, naturally, everyone has hit for the last 50 years. You really have to listen well and take your time but once you get used to the good odd signals its a blast finding stuff people have swept over for the last 50 years.

I hat when you find those 1916 mystery mercs :laughing7: If it was a D we'll never know. I found one like it last year. I looked real hard but no D to be found. :-\
